The West Midlands posted the fastest gains in private-sector economic growth in England's nine regions in February, according to the Lloyds TSB purchasing managers index. Yorkshire & Humberside was the next fastest, while all regions made progress. The study, however, found that companies in all regions were experiencing rising cost pressures.
